Honda e:N1 Now Open for Booking in Malaysia – HR-V-Based EV with 412 KM Range, Launching Q2 2025

Good news for EV fans – the Honda e:N1 is officially open for booking in Malaysia! First previewed at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) last December, the all-electric B-segment SUV is set to make its local debut in the second quarter of 2025 – so we’re just months away from its arrival.

HR-V Looks, EV Heart

Built on Honda’s e:N Architecture F platform, the e:N1 shares its bodyshell with the popular HR-V. But don’t let the familiar looks fool you – under the hood (or rather, under the floor) is a fully electric powertrain featuring a single front-mounted motor delivering 204 PS (150 kW) and 310 Nm of torque. This setup gets the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds, with a top speed of 160 km/h.

Powering the e:N1 is a 68.8 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery that gives it an impressive WLTP-rated range of up to 412 km.

Charging – Not the Fastest, But Decent

One downside? The e:N1 supports only up to 78 kW DC fast charging, which means charging from 10% to 80% takes about 45 minutes. On the AC front, it supports up to 11 kW, with a full charge taking around six hours – still manageable for most urban users.

Clean, Modern Design

From the outside, the e:N1 keeps things clean with a grille-less front end (where the charging port is hidden), a sleek non-chrome Honda badge, and bold Honda lettering on the rear. Inside, the tech-forward cabin features a massive 15.1-inch portrait-style infotainment display that also controls the climate system, along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a push-button gear selector.

Packed with Safety and Tech

Standard features include:

  • Full-LED headlights
  • Exclusive 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels
  • Honda Sensing ADAS suite
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Rear cross traffic alert (a first for Honda Malaysia)

Interestingly, the usual LaneWatch camera has been replaced with a more comprehensive blind spot system.

Booking & Availability

Bookings can be made via Honda Malaysia’s official website or the HondaTouch app. The e:N1 will be sold at eight selected dealerships across Malaysia:

  • Selangor: Accord Auto, HZN Cars, Tiong Nam Motor
  • Kuala Lumpur: Peringgit Sri Motor
  • Perak: Ban Hoe Seng Auto
  • Penang: Vivahill Auto
  • Negeri Sembilan: Ban Lee Heng Motor
  • Johor: Kah Motor Co in Tebrau

Pricing Estimate

While official pricing hasn’t been announced yet, the e:N1 sells for 1,199,000 baht (around RM157,600) in Thailand. If that price carries over, it would position the e:N1 significantly higher than rivals like the Proton eMas 7 and BYD Atto 3 Ultra, both priced around RM120k.

Would You Pick the Honda?

With sleek styling, a premium cabin, and Honda’s solid EV engineering, the e:N1 looks like a compelling choice – even at a higher price point. But is it worth the extra cash over the competition? Let us know what you think!
