Zeekr Owners in Malaysia Can Now Charge at RM1.20/kWh at All DC Handal Chargers – Here’s How to Activate It

Zeekr owners in Malaysia now have another reason to plug in and charge with confidence. The premium EV brand has expanded its special charging rate with DC Handal, allowing all Zeekr owners nationwide to access DC fast charging at just RM1.20 per kWh across the entire DC Handal network.
Previously available only at selected locations, the preferential rate has now been extended to all DC Handal DC charging stations in Malaysia, giving Zeekr owners greater flexibility when planning longer journeys or topping up their vehicles on the go.
The move comes as Zeekr Malaysia continues to expand its ownership ecosystem, with the brand having surpassed 5,000 vehicle deliveries in Malaysia.
More importantly, activating the special rate is relatively straightforward – but Zeekr owners will need to complete a few steps before the discounted rate becomes available on the ChargEV app.
RM1.20/kWh DC charging for all Zeekr owners
Through its ongoing collaboration with DC Handal, Zeekr Malaysia is offering its owners a preferential RM1.20/kWh charging rate at all DC Handal charging stations nationwide.
For comparison, DC Handal’s high-powered DC chargers are typically priced around RM1.30 to RM1.50/kWh, depending on the charging location.

That means the Zeekr preferential rate can provide meaningful savings, particularly for owners who frequently rely on public DC fast chargers.
The expanded benefit is also part of Zeekr Power, the brand’s broader charging ecosystem, which aims to make EV ownership more convenient by increasing access to reliable charging infrastructure.
How to activate the RM1.20/kWh rate
If you’re a Zeekr owner in Malaysia, you won’t automatically receive the discounted rate simply by downloading the ChargEV application.
You will first need to complete the onboarding process so that your Zeekr ownership can be verified.
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Download the ChargEV app
Install the ChargEV application from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and create an account if you do not already have one.
2. Register your ChargEV account
Make sure the account is registered using an email address that you can access, as this email will be required during the Zeekr onboarding process.
3. Complete the Zeekr onboarding form
Submit the Zeekr owner onboarding form provided by Zeekr Malaysia.
Your vehicle information, including the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), will be required during the registration process.
4. Use the same email address
This is an important step.
The email address entered in the Zeekr onboarding form must match the email address registered to your ChargEV account.
5. Wait for activation
Once the information has been submitted and verified, the preferential charging rate should be reflected in your ChargEV account.
The onboarding process is expected to be completed within 24 hours after submitting the form.
Once activated, Zeekr owners can simply use the ChargEV application to locate and activate eligible DC Handal chargers and enjoy the RM1.20/kWh rate.
The RM1.20/kWh rate applies nationwide
One of the biggest changes to the programme is that Zeekr owners are no longer limited to selected DC Handal locations.
The RM1.20/kWh preferential rate is applicable across all DC Handal charging stations nationwide, rather than being restricted to locations carrying the Zeekr Power branding.

This distinction is particularly useful for owners travelling outside major urban areas, as they can potentially access the preferential rate even when a particular DC Handal charger is not branded as a Zeekr Power charging station.
For frequent EV travellers, broader charging access can make long-distance journeys easier to plan and reduce the need to rely exclusively on specific charging locations.
Five Zeekr Power charging locations are already available
While the preferential rate is available across the wider DC Handal network, Zeekr and DC Handal have also been working together to establish dedicated Zeekr Power charging locations.
Currently, five Zeekr Power-branded charging locations are available within the DC Handal network:
- Amanjaya Mall, Sungai Petani, Kedah – 240kW DC charger with two bays
- Sunway Carnival Mall, Penang – 240kW DC charger with four bays
- MH Hotel, Ipoh, Perak – 120kW DC charger with two bays
- Sunway Pyramid Mall, Petaling Jaya – 220kW DC charger with four bays
- Symphony Suites Hotel, Ipoh – 240kW DC charger with two bays
These locations provide Zeekr owners with high-powered charging options at strategic points across several parts of the country.
More Zeekr Power chargers are on the way
The charging network expansion isn’t stopping there.
According to the charging network operator, three additional locations are expected to open soon, further increasing the number of DC Handal sites carrying the Zeekr Power branding.
Zeekr Malaysia has also announced plans for additional charging infrastructure along the North-South Expressway (PLUS).
Two upcoming Zeekr Power locations have been identified at PLUS Plaza Toll Plaza Sungkai in Perak and PLUS Plaza Toll Bukit Gambir in Johor, with both locations targeted for completion in Q4 2026.
These highway-focused locations could be particularly important for Zeekr owners who regularly travel between Kuala Lumpur, northern states and southern Malaysia.
Zeekr plans 30 branded charging stations within three years
The latest DC Handal initiative is part of a much larger charging infrastructure strategy by Zeekr Malaysia.
The company aims to establish 30 Zeekr Power-branded charging stations nationwide over the next three years.

As the number of Zeekr vehicles on Malaysian roads continues to increase, expanding charging infrastructure will become increasingly important in supporting the brand’s growing customer base.
Zeekr Malaysia General Manager Eddy Lu said the company wants the benefits of ownership to grow alongside its expanding owner community, while collaboration with charge point operators such as DC Handal will help make fast charging more accessible.
With more than 5,000 Zeekr vehicles already delivered in Malaysia, the expansion of public charging access could become an increasingly important part of the brand’s ownership proposition.
What Zeekr owners should know
The key takeaway is simple: Zeekr owners in Malaysia can now access RM1.20/kWh DC charging across the entire DC Handal network, but they must first complete the onboarding process through ChargEV.

Once activated, the benefit gives owners more freedom to use DC Handal chargers nationwide without having to search specifically for a Zeekr Power-branded location.
With additional highway charging locations planned and Zeekr targeting 30 branded charging stations within three years, the charging experience for Malaysian Zeekr owners is set to become even more convenient.
For current owners, the most important step is therefore to register your ChargEV account, complete the Zeekr onboarding form and make sure both accounts use the same email address before heading out for your next long-distance journey.
