Chery Ignites the Future of Mobility at Malaysia Autoshow 2025 with Advanced Hybrid Tech, Urban Air Concepts, and AI Companions

SERDANG, 8 May 2025 — Chery Malaysia has delivered one of the most forward-thinking showcases at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, unveiling a future where automobiles are smarter, greener, and more connected than ever before. With an impressive lineup of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), a flying car prototype, and artificial intelligence-driven robots, Chery positions itself at the forefront of next-generation mobility.
This year’s theme for Chery is clear: mobility is no longer just about vehicles—it’s about intelligent ecosystems that enhance everyday life through innovation, performance, and emotional connectivity.
Introducing the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) Platform

Leading the brand’s display is the launch of the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) platform—a new benchmark in hybrid technology. Built upon over 20 years of clean energy R&D, CSH is engineered to maximise fuel efficiency and performance, offering a travel range of up to 1,200 km on a single charge and refill.
With a class-leading 44.5% thermal efficiency, Chery’s CSH system dramatically reduces fuel usage while maintaining robust performance across all road and weather conditions.
The platform features:
- Stepless DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission): Ensures rapid acceleration with smooth power delivery, reaching 0–100 km/h in just 4.26 seconds.
- High-Stability Battery System: Designed to perform in extreme conditions ranging from -35°C to 60°C.
- Guardian Safety Protection: Provides high-level battery security and monitoring for peace of mind during long journeys.
According to Dr. David Xianqiang Lu, one of the key minds behind Chery’s R&D efforts, the CSH platform represents more than just a technological achievement—it’s a stepping stone toward truly sustainable and intelligent automotive ecosystems.
TIGGO CROSS Debuts with Big Potential in a Small Package
Marking its Malaysian premiere, the TIGGO CROSS enters as Chery’s most compact SUV in the TIGGO range. With variants in 1.5L Hybrid Electric (HEV) and 1.5L Turbocharged forms, it blends compact urban design with advanced hybrid engineering.
Backed by its global success—over 1 million units exported—the TIGGO CROSS is set to appeal to urban drivers seeking a fuel-efficient, tech-savvy option with everyday practicality. Chery also previewed its flagship TIGGO 7 PHEV and TIGGO 8 PHEV, offering more spacious, premium alternatives in the hybrid SUV space with flexible drive modes and smart energy optimisation.

Urban Air Mobility and AI Robots: Mobility Beyond the Road
Chery’s showcase extended beyond traditional automotive design with the debut of a flying car concept, developed in collaboration with aviation partners. Designed for short-distance urban flights and vertical take-offs, the prototype signals Chery’s exploration into urban air mobility, a sector gaining global attention for its potential to decongest future cities.
On the ground, the spotlight was shared by AiMOGA, Chery’s in-house humanoid robot, as well as robotic pets designed to interact with guests through voice, motion, and play. These AI companions reflect Chery’s commitment to integrating robotics and emotion into the vehicle-user relationship. AiMOGA has already seen active deployment in Chery’s Wuhu showroom in China, serving as a brand ambassador, assistant, and entertainer.
