Why Is Bahrain Racing in Malaysia?

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem echoed those sentiments, emphasising that the safety of teams, officials and fans remained the highest priority throughout the decision-making process.
Malaysia and Bahrain Strengthen International Partnership
Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim described the collaboration as more than simply hosting an international sporting event.
According to him, the agreement reflects the strong friendship and mutual trust between Malaysia and Bahrain while showcasing Malaysia’s readiness to organise world-class international events.
Similarly, Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa expressed appreciation for Malaysia’s support and reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to delivering a successful Formula 1 event despite regional challenges.
