Suzuki eVITARA EV Malaysia Launch: Japan’s New Electric SUV Arrives With 426km Range, RM188,000 Price Tag
The era of Suzuki’s electrification journey has officially reached Malaysia as Naza Eastern Motors introduces the all-new Suzuki e VITARA, marking the brand’s first global battery electric vehicle (BEV) to enter the market.
Positioned as a compact electric SUV, the Suzuki e VITARA arrives with a combination of futuristic styling, practical SUV characteristics and modern EV technology, offering Malaysian consumers another alternative in the increasingly competitive electric vehicle segment.
Interestingly, the e VITARA shares its foundation with the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, which was introduced in Malaysia earlier this year. However, Suzuki brings its own identity through a distinctive exterior design and brand character while maintaining similar performance figures.
Suzuki e VITARA Priced From RM188,000 In Malaysia
For the Malaysian market, the Suzuki e VITARA is offered as a fully imported (CBU) model from India and is priced at RM188,000 (on-the-road without insurance).
This makes it slightly more affordable compared to its Toyota Urban Cruiser twin, which was launched locally at RM198,000.
The SUV is built on Suzuki’s dedicated HEARTECT-e platform, developed specifically for electric vehicles. Measuring 4,275mm long, 1,800mm wide and 1,635mm tall, the e VITARA sits within the compact SUV category, offering a practical footprint for urban driving while maintaining SUV proportions.
With a 2,700mm wheelbase and 180mm ground clearance, Suzuki aims to balance everyday usability with a more adventurous SUV character.
Powered By A 61.1kWh Battery With Up To 426km Range
Under the skin, the Suzuki e VITARA features a single electric motor setup paired with a 61.1kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery supplied by BYD.
The front-mounted electric motor produces:
- 128kW (174PS) of power
- 193Nm of torque
Power is delivered through Suzuki’s new eAxle system, which integrates the electric motor, inverter and reduction gear into a compact unit for improved efficiency.
The electric SUV delivers a WLTP driving range of up to 426km, making it suitable for both daily commuting and longer-distance journeys.
For charging capability, the e VITARA supports:
- DC fast charging up to 67kW
- AC charging up to 7kW
A DC fast charger can replenish the battery from 15% to 80% in approximately 45 minutes, while a 7kW AC charger requires around nine hours for a full charge.
Modern SUV Styling With Suzuki’s New EV Identity
Unlike its Toyota twin, the Suzuki e VITARA receives a unique front-end design featuring a bold hexagonal grille area, LED projector headlights and Suzuki’s signature three-point lighting elements.
The exterior follows Suzuki’s “Metal Beast” design philosophy, giving the SUV a stronger and more muscular appearance through its wide stance, large wheel arches and sporty proportions.
The model rides on 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels paired with 225/55 tyres, further enhancing its modern SUV appearance.

Inside, the e VITARA adopts a technology-focused cabin layout featuring a digital dashboard and integrated infotainment display.
The interior comes equipped with:

For entertainment, Suzuki equips the e VITARA with an Infinity sound system, replacing the JBL system found in the Toyota Urban Cruiser.
