Zeekr Appoints Carro as Official Distributor in Malaysia, Expanding Premium EV Access

Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) brand from China under the Geely Group, has officially appointed Carro as its exclusive distributor in Malaysia, marking a major step forward in its regional expansion strategy.
The partnership agreement was sealed at Carro’s flagship showroom in Puchong, solidifying a collaboration aimed at strengthening Zeekr’s sales and after-sales infrastructure across Malaysia.
Under this strategic alliance, Malaysian consumers can now purchase Zeekr EVs through Carro’s extensive platform. Buyers will also gain access to flexible financing options via Genie Financial Services, after-sales support through Carro Care service centres, and comprehensive insurance packages provided by Coverro.
“This partnership is a significant milestone for us. It opens up more accessible avenues for Malaysians to own premium EVs with complete peace of mind,” said Alex Bao, Managing Director of Zeekr Southeast Asia.
Carro, widely known as Asia Pacific’s leading used car marketplace, is now stepping into the new car segment. Fong Hon Sum, CEO of International Marketplace at Carro, noted that Malaysia’s growing appetite for EVs—supported by government incentives and developing infrastructure—makes it an ideal time to expand Zeekr’s presence in the country.
Currently, Zeekr operates three Zeekr Space outlets in Petaling Jaya and IOI Mall Puchong. The network will soon grow with four additional locations planned for Juru Autocity, Klang Valley, and Seremban. Additionally, three Carro Care workshops are in the pipeline to enhance nationwide service support.
Zeekr officially entered the Malaysian market in December 2024 and introduced two key models:
Zeekr 009 – The Premium Electric MPV

- Luxury (AWD) – RM349,800
- Ultra Luxury – RM359,800
Zeekr X – The Compact Luxury Electric SUV
- Premium – RM155,800
- Flagship – RM172,800
