Unveiling the 2025 Proton X70 Facelift – RM7k Early Bird Discount, Priced from RM99k, AACP, and Larger Screen!
PUTRAJAYA: The 2025 Proton X70 facelift introduces enhancements to the well-regarded premium C-segment SUV, featuring improved noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) control, better fuel efficiency, updated exterior design, new interior equipment, and upgraded ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) level 2 safety technology.
For the first time, the X70 facelift will offer both wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, which will be available via an over-the-air update at a later date.
Despite the inclusion of RM13,700 worth of new features and upgrades, the prices for the X70 remain unchanged. The on-the-road prices without insurance for the 2025 X70 are as follows: 1.5 TGDi Standard (RM98,800); Executive (RM110,800); Premium (RM123,800); and Premium X (RM126,800).
The previous 1.5T Executive (AWD) and 1.8T Premium variants are no longer available.
Proton is offering additional value of up to RM23,500 at no extra cost for the first 3,000 customers who register their 2025 X70.
The new model also comes with a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, a five-year data package with 1GB per month, and six complimentary labor services.
The 2025 Proton X70 is available in five exterior colors: Snow White, Armour Silver, Jet Grey, Ruby Red, and Marine Blue.

The 2025 X70 features a larger front grille adorned with elegant songket-pattern elements around the Proton logo, flanked by new trapezoidal headlamps composed of 47 individual LEDs.
The updated design includes a new front bumper and front fenders that add a muscular and aggressive look, complemented by a new hood with twin power domes. At the rear, a new bumper with a diffuser enhances the styling, and the vehicle is also equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels featuring a new dual-tone design.
The 2025 X70 is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged direct injection engine, delivering 177 PS and 255 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for smooth and swift gear shifts. This setup also improves NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) levels and achieves a 4% boost in fuel efficiency, now at 7.3 liters per 100 km.
The refreshed interior features a new steering wheel in premium stone grey for the Premium and Premium X variants. These upper trims also include ambient LED lighting on the instrument panel with 72 color options that can pulse with the music.
All variants come with a new 12.3-inch floating screen with dual quad-core processing, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The “Hi Proton” voice command feature and the Proton Intelligent Air Purifier System (PIAPS) are retained across all variants.
A new feature of the 2025 X70 is remote engine start via the Proton Link app, allowing the interior to cool down before entry.
The Premium and Premium X variants offer ADAS Level 2, which includes 13 active safety systems: Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with stop and go, Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), Lane Centering Control (LCC), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Rear Collision Warning (RCW), Door Opening Warning (DOW), Traffic Sign Information (TSI), and Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC).
All variants feature six SRS airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Auto Brake Hold, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Hold Assist (HHA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC).
