KLIMS 2026 Opens New Chapter for Malaysia’s Automotive Future with Electrification, Innovation and Next-Generation Mobility Showcases
Kuala Lumpur, 12 June 2026 — The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 (KLIMS 2026) officially opened its doors at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), marking a significant milestone for Malaysia’s automotive industry as it transitions towards a future driven by electrification, smart mobility and technological innovation.
Held from 12 to 21 June 2026, the 11th edition of KLIMS carries the theme “Beyond Mobility”, highlighting the industry’s evolution beyond conventional vehicles towards connected, sustainable and intelligent mobility solutions. The event is organised by the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) in collaboration with Qube Integrated Malaysia.


The opening ceremony was officiated by Deputy Minister of Transport Datuk Hasbi Habibollah, with more than 900 guests including government representatives, industry leaders, automotive professionals and stakeholders attending the launch.
During the opening, emphasis was placed on the importance of Malaysia moving beyond its traditional role as a vehicle assembler and distributor, towards becoming a contributor in developing future mobility technologies particularly in areas such as electric vehicles (EVs), sustainable transportation and automotive innovation.
Major Vehicle Launches & Previews at KLIMS 2026
KLIMS 2026 became a platform for automotive brands to introduce new models, showcase upcoming vehicles and preview future mobility solutions. The exhibition featured participation from 18 automotive brands, presenting a combination of new launches, concept vehicles and technology showcases.
Hyundai Stargazer Makes Malaysian Preview

One of the notable previews at KLIMS 2026 was the Hyundai Stargazer, which made its appearance ahead of its Malaysian market introduction. The B-segment MPV was showcased as Hyundai’s latest offering in the family mobility segment, with bookings opened during the event.
Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE ASEAN Debut

Nissan X-Trail e-POWER x e-4ORCE also became one of the key technology highlights at KLIMS 2026, featuring Nissan’s electrified powertrain technology combined with advanced all-wheel-drive capability. The model was previewed as part of Nissan’s electrification direction for the region.
Perodua Showcases Future EV Direction with C2 Concept

Local automotive giant Perodua highlighted its future electrification strategy through the showcase of the Perodua C2 electric sedan concept, representing the company’s continued exploration into next-generation EV mobility.
JETOUR T2 i-DM Plug-in Hybrid Makes Malaysian Appearance


Another major highlight was JETOUR T2 i-DM, which made its public debut at KLIMS 2026. The model represents JETOUR’s move into electrified SUV offerings in Malaysia, expanding consumer choices within the growing hybrid and EV segment.
