Michelin Appoints New Regional Managing Director for Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei

KUALA LUMPUR – Starting July 1, Florentin Odenwald has officially stepped into his new role as Managing Director of Michelin for Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei, marking a strategic leadership transition in the Southeast Asian region. He succeeds Prichapakorn Dangrojana, who has taken on a new assignment within the Michelin Group in France.

Odenwald’s appointment underscores Michelin’s ongoing commitment to expanding its footprint and innovation efforts across ASEAN, particularly in the areas of sustainable mobility and strengthening its premium brand positioning.

Backed by a solid track record in global commercial strategy, Odenwald brings valuable international experience to the role. He previously held the position of Executive Vice President of Global Automotive OE Sales, where he was responsible for managing relationships with over 25 global automotive brands and contributed to Michelin’s global automotive leadership team.

Throughout his career, Odenwald has been instrumental in driving growth through strategic partnerships and innovation. His collaborative work has involved prominent carmakers including Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, BMW, Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Tesla, helping push Michelin’s brand influence within the global automotive industry.

In his new position, Odenwald will guide Michelin’s strategic development and operations across the three ASEAN countries. He will focus on enhancing regional growth, driving innovation, and building stronger relationships with customers and partners.

“Being part of the Asia-Pacific leadership team gives me an integrated understanding of the brand’s potential and the evolving needs across this vibrant region,” he said.
