2025 Mazda 3 1.5L Returning to Malaysia – Starting fromRM118,900

After being discontinued in October 2023, the Mazda 3 1.5L variants are making a
comeback in Malaysia. Multiple dealer announcements on social media reveal that the 2025
Mazda 3 1.5L will be relaunched in the High Plus trim, with an estimated starting price of RM
118,900.
The reintroduction is expected in September 2025, potentially aligning with the local launch
of Mazda’s flagship CX-60 model.

This new 1.5L Mazda 3 is priced RM 24,100 lower than before. The previous variant was
priced around RM 143,000 (on-the-road without insurance), while the latest version starts
from just RM 118,900, making it a more competitive choice in the C-segment sedan market.
The 2025 Mazda 3 1.5L High Plus will be available in both sedan and hatchback body styles,
matching the options offered in the existing 2.0L models.
Unlike the earlier 1.5L model, which was seen as modestly equipped, the new High Plus trim
comes packed with features such as:

● LED headlights with signature daytime running lights

● 18-inch alloy wheels (upgraded from 16-inch)

● Leather seats

● Powered driver’s seat

● 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen

● Automatic climate control

Powertrain-wise, the Mazda 3 1.5L continues with the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre
four-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine, delivering 118 PS and 153 Nm of torque. Power is
sent to the front wheels via a six-speed SkyActiv-Drive automatic transmission.

For reference, the current Mazda 3 lineup in Malaysia ranges from RM 156,059 to RM
175,059 (on-the-road without insurance).
