46th Bangkok International Motor Show Reports 79,000 Bookings — A 44.8% Surge, Boosting Confidence in the 2025 Automotive Market

The 46th Bangkok International Motor Show concluded successfully, drawing a total of 1.6 million visitors. Over 54 automotive and motorcycle brands showcased their vehicles, collectively securing 79,941 bookings across all segments — a strong sign of sustained growth for Thailand’s automotive industry this year.
Mr. Jaturont Komolmis, Chief Operating Officer of Grand Prix International Public Company Limited and Vice Chairman of the event, stated,
“The 46th Bangkok International Motor Show has once again proven to be a success in every aspect. This year saw an increase in the number of participating car and motorcycle manufacturers as well as automotive-related businesses, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that attracted a massive crowd. Total visitors this year reached 1,601,011, close to last year’s figure.”

Vehicle booking figures at the event were as follows:
Total bookings: 79,941 units
Passenger vehicles: 77,379 units
Motorcycles: 2,562 units
Among all bookings, xEV vehicles (electric and hybrid models) accounted for more than 65%, especially in the SUV category, which continues to gain popularity. Internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles made up 35% of the total bookings.

(Note: Thai Honda opted not to disclose its booking numbers for this year’s show.)

The 44.8% year-on-year increase in vehicle bookings is attributed to several key factors:
Introduction of newly launched models that align with consumer interests
Aggressive promotional campaigns
Enhanced warranty programs by multiple automotive brands
Government support policies such as “กระบะพี่ มีคลังค้ำ” (Pickup Truck Support Scheme)
These factors have strengthened consumer confidence and led to quicker purchasing decisions compared to previous months.

Mr. Jaturont added,
“One of the clear indicators of the show’s positive impact on the automotive industry is that many manufacturers extended their show-exclusive promotions nationwide. This led to a rise in bookings across the country, not just at the show itself. It also demonstrates the strong confidence from car and motorcycle companies and automotive businesses, who continue to invest heavily in booth design and spectacular showcases of cutting-edge technologies and innovations.”
The organizer expresses sincere gratitude to all participating companies for their support, which contributed to the grand success of this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show. The event has once again confirmed its status as Thailand’s leading auto show and a premier exhibition in ASEAN, comparable to top-tier global motor shows.
The 47th Bangkok International Motor Show is scheduled to take place from March 25 to April 5, 2026, at IMPACT Challenger Halls 1-3, Muang Thong Thani.
