Leapmotor C10 Plus Launched in Malaysia – 800V Architecture, 510 km WLTP Range, From RM148,000

The upgraded Leapmotor C10 Plus has officially made its Malaysian debut, bringing substantial mechanical and technological enhancements over its predecessor. Introduced by Stellantis Malaysia, the electric SUV is now priced from RM148,000 on-the-road without insurance, reflecting a comprehensive upgrade that includes a new 800-volt electrical architecture, a larger battery pack, and significantly improved performance.
With these enhancements, the C10 Plus positions itself as a far more compelling contender in Malaysia’s increasingly competitive electric SUV segment.
800V Architecture and Larger 81.9 kWh Battery
The headline upgrade is the adoption of an 800V electrical platform, a major leap from the outgoing model’s system. This allows for faster charging speeds and improved overall efficiency.
The C10 Plus now features a larger 81.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, up from the previous 69.9 kWh unit. Interestingly, Malaysian-spec models receive a higher-capacity battery than the version currently offered in China, which is equipped with a 74.9 kWh pack.
Combined with improved energy consumption rated at 15.1 kWh/100 km, the new setup delivers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 510 km, an 86 km increase over the previous 424 km figure. For daily commuting and long-distance interstate travel alike, this represents a meaningful step forward in real-world usability.
Faster Charging, Stronger Performance
Thanks to the shift to 800V architecture, DC fast charging capability has increased dramatically from 84 kW to 180 kW. Despite the larger battery, charging from 30% to 80% now takes just 22 minutes, eight minutes quicker than before.
While AC charging specifications were not reiterated, it is expected to retain the 11 kW onboard charger introduced in last year’s update.
Performance has also seen a healthy boost. The rear-mounted electric motor now produces 299 PS (220 kW) and 360 Nm of torque, up from 215 PS and 320 Nm previously. This enables a 0–100 km/h sprint in just 6.2 seconds, nearly 1.5 seconds quicker than the outgoing model. Top speed has also increased to 190 km/h.

Familiar Styling, Premium Cabin
Visually, the C10 Plus remains largely unchanged from the standard model. Exterior highlights include full-width LED taillights, roof rails, and 20-inch “Trident” alloy wheels finished in Matte Grey.
Inside, the minimalist cabin layout continues with a 14.6-inch central infotainment display paired with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Oeko-Tex-certified upholstery remains part of the package.
Connectivity details, however, remain unclear. Stellantis Malaysia has yet to confirm the inclusion of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, though its sibling model, the Leapmotor B10, recently received these features via an over-the-air update.
Night Edition – Limited to 50 Units
For buyers seeking a more aggressive visual identity, Stellantis Malaysia is also offering a limited-run C10 Plus Night Edition, restricted to just 50 units.
Priced at RM156,000 (or RM147,000 with rebate), the Night Edition adds:
- Two-tone exterior with black roof
- Redesigned aerodynamic body kit
- Matte Black 20-inch “Trident” wheels
- Sportier front and rear styling elements
The cosmetic upgrades give the C10 Plus a noticeably sharper road presence without altering its mechanical setup.
Pricing, Rebates and Warranty
The C10 Plus carries a RM23,000 premium over the outgoing model, which was last priced at RM125,000 following an equipment revision. The price increase likely reflects the end of CBU EV tax incentives, alongside the substantial hardware upgrades.
However, early buyers can benefit from:
- RM9,000 rebate
- RM4,000 insurance subsidy
This effectively reduces the entry price to RM139,000, narrowing the gap with the previous model while offering significantly more capability.
Warranty coverage remains competitive:
- 6-year / 150,000 km vehicle warranty
- 8-year / 160,000 km battery warranty
Promotional offers are valid until 31 March 2026.

A Stronger Proposition in the EV SUV Segment
With its new 800V architecture, significantly improved charging speeds, extended range and stronger performance, the Leapmotor C10 Plus represents more than just a routine facelift, it is a comprehensive mechanical upgrade.
While the price has risen, the added range, faster charging capability and enhanced output make the C10 Plus a far more complete package than before.
Is the jump to RM148k justified by the improvements? And does the Night Edition add enough flair to stand out in Malaysia’s crowded EV landscape?
