Zeekr Malaysia Celebrates 2,000 EV Deliveries in Just One Year, Landmark Handed to Siti Nurhaliza

Zeekr Malaysia has reached a significant milestone in its local journey, delivering 2,000 electric vehicles within just one year of its official launch in December 2024, a remarkable achievement for a premium EV brand still in its early stages in the Malaysian market.

The historic 2,000th delivery took place over the weekend at Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur, where the landmark vehicle, a Zeekr 7X in the striking Forest Green finish was officially handed over to national music icon Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza. The celebration was made even more meaningful as the ceremony also welcomed 50 other new Zeekr owners and their families, underscoring the growing community behind the brand.

Speaking at the event, Eddy Lu, General Manager of Zeekr Malaysia, described the milestone as more than just a sales figure.

“Reaching 2,000 owners in a year is no small feat for us at Zeekr and serves as a reflection of the trust Malaysians have placed in our brand. Our commitment goes beyond delivering cars, we aim to provide an unparalleled ownership experience built on luxury, confidence and peace of mind,” he said.

Lu added that Zeekr’s focus will remain firmly on elevating both sales and aftersales standards, ensuring that every Zeekr owner enjoys a premium experience throughout their ownership journey.

Currently, Zeekr Malaysia offers three fully electric models tailored to different lifestyle needs — the compact Zeekr X crossover, the performance-focused Zeekr 7X SUV, and the ultra-luxurious Zeekr 009 MPV, which has become a familiar sight across the Klang Valley.

The 2,000th milestone vehicle, the Zeekr 7X Performance AWD, represents the brand’s technological and performance ambitions. Priced at RM226,800, the range-topping variant features dual electric motors producing 637hp and 710Nm, enabling a 0–100km/h sprint in just 3.8 seconds. Power is supplied by a 100kWh battery, offering up to 543km of WLTP-rated range, while its 800V architecture supports DC fast charging of up to 420kW.

Looking ahead, 2025 and beyond will focus heavily on network expansion. Zeekr Malaysia has confirmed upcoming dealership openings in Johor Bahru, Melaka, Ampang (Kuala Lumpur) and Ipoh. By the end of 2026, the brand aims to establish 18 showrooms nationwide, supported by more than 10 service, body and paint centres to strengthen aftersales coverage.

In addition, Zeekr Malaysia is working closely with EV charging partners to introduce exclusive charging benefits for owners, with further details expected to be announced in the near future — a move that reinforces the brand’s commitment to seamless and worry-free EV ownership.

As Zeekr continues to build momentum in Malaysia, the 2,000-unit milestone signals growing confidence among local buyers and positions the brand as a rising force in the country’s premium electric vehicle landscape.
