Perodua QV-E Bookings Go Nationwide: 34 Authorised Outlets Now Open Across Peninsular Malaysia
Perodua is taking a major step forward in its electric vehicle journey by significantly expanding booking access for the Perodua QV-E — the national automaker’s first home-grown electric vehicle. From just nine outlets at launch, customers can now place bookings and arrange test drives at 34 authorised Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd (PSSB) showrooms nationwide.
The expansion reflects what Perodua describes as “healthy interest” from customers across Peninsular Malaysia, signalling growing acceptance of the QV-E and its unique Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) ownership model.
“We have received healthy interest from potential customers from across the country, and we are now expanding our reach to include more locations so that our customers can book test drives and reserve their very own Perodua QV-E,”
— Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, President & CEO of Perodua
Easier Booking Options: Manual Walk-Ins Now Accepted
In response to customer feedback, Perodua has also reintroduced manual bookings, allowing customers to walk into authorised outlets to place their reservation — in addition to digital bookings via the P-Circle super app.
This move is aimed at making the EV adoption process more inclusive, especially for customers who prefer traditional, face-to-face interactions when making major purchasing decisions.
34 Authorised QV-E Outlets — All First-Party Showrooms
Importantly, all 34 locations are operated directly by Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd, not third-party dealers. This ensures consistent customer experience, trained EV specialists, and accurate information on the BAAS programme.
The expanded network now covers key regions including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Penang, Perak, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu — making the QV-E far more accessible than before.

RM80,000 Vehicle Price — Battery Subscription Explained Clearly
The Perodua QV-E is priced at RM80,000 on the road (without insurance) — excluding the battery. Instead, the battery is offered via Perodua’s Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) programme.
Perodua has now clarified that the battery subscription fee is RM275 per month, ALL-IN, including tax, for 108 months (9 years) — with the price capped to protect customers from future increases.
What BAAS Covers:
- 100% battery warranty
- 100% maintenance coverage
- Battery health assurance (above 70% expected beyond 9 years)
- Peace of mind ownership with no surprise battery costs
After the 9-year period, owners may continue using the battery without any monthly payment. If battery health eventually drops below 70%, customers can restart the same RM275/month subscription and receive a replacement battery — at no additional cost.

Selling the QV-E? Battery Subscription Is Transferable
Perodua has also addressed resale concerns by confirming that the BAAS subscription is fully transferable.
If an owner decides to sell the vehicle, the transaction must be handled through Perodua’s Pre-Owned Vehicle Department. The remaining months under the 108-month plan will simply transfer to the new owner.
Example:
If 50 months have already been paid, the new owner only continues the remaining 58 months at the same RM275 rate.

A Strategic Step for Malaysia’s EV Adoption
While the QV-E’s BAAS model has sparked mixed reactions, Perodua’s rapid expansion of booking locations — along with clearer communication and simplified booking options — shows a strong commitment to educating customers and easing EV adoption.
With nationwide reach, capped battery costs, and full manufacturer support, the Perodua QV-E represents a bold and distinctly Malaysian approach to electric mobility.
