TQ Wuling Bingo EV Officially Launched in Malaysia – From RM62,800 with Up to 337 km WLTP Range

After months of anticipation, Tan Chong Motor (TCM) has officially launched the TQ Wuling Bingo EV in Malaysia, marking the brand’s first fully electric passenger vehicle in the local market. Offered in Pro and Max variants, the compact electric hatchback is locally assembled (CKD) at TCM’s Segambut plant and is positioned as one of the most affordable new EVs in the country.

With introductory prices starting from RM62,800, generous early-bird incentives and a practical real-world range, the Bingo is aimed squarely at urban drivers looking to make the switch to electric mobility without breaking the bank.

Two Variants, Accessible Pricing

The TQ Wuling Bingo is available in two variants:

  • Bingo Pro – RM67,800
  • Bingo Max – RM72,800

Prices are on-the-road before insurance.

Early adopters are rewarded, as the first 500 buyers will receive a RM5,000 rebate, effectively bringing prices down to:

  • RM62,800 (Pro)
  • RM67,800 (Max)

The launch package also includes a 7 kW AC home charger, three-pin charging cable, solar tint, insurance benefits and EV coverage, with a combined value of over RM12,000. Booking fee is set at just RM50.

Compact Dimensions, Distinctive Styling

Known as the Wuling Bingo in China, this B-segment hatchback features a rounded, playful design that immediately stands out from more angular rivals. Signature X-shaped LED lighting at both front and rear, a contrasting black roof and 15-inch wheels give the Bingo a youthful yet modern character.

Measuring 3,950 mm long, 1,708 mm wide, and 1,580 mm tall, with a 2,560 mm wheelbase, the Bingo sits between a Perodua Axia and Myvi in size, making it well suited for tight urban environments.

Electric Performance and Real-World Range

Powering both variants is a front-mounted electric motor producing 68 PS and 150 Nm, delivering smooth and quiet performance ideal for city driving.

Battery options differ by variant:

VariantBatteryCLTC RangeWLTP Range
Pro31.9 kWh333 km~273 km
Max37.9 kWh410 km~337 km

Both models support 7 kW AC charging and up to 50 kW DC fast charging, with a 30–80% charge achievable in under 35 minutes. A full AC charge takes approximately 4.5 hours (Pro) and 5.5 hours (Max).

Surprisingly Premium Interior for the Price

Step inside and the Bingo surprises with a bright, airy cabin finished in a stylish two-tone colour scheme. The minimalist dashboard is dominated by dual 10.25-inch screens, serving as the digital instrument cluster and infotainment display.

Standard features across both variants include:

  • Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
  • Leatherette upholstery
  • Six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat
  • Rotary gear selector
  • Multi-function steering wheel
  • Four-speaker audio system

Despite its compact footprint, the Bingo is a strict four-seater, allowing for more sculpted rear seats and a flexible boot offering up to 1,240 litres with the rear seats folded.

Safety and Ownership Peace of Mind

Safety equipment is generous for the segment, with six airbags fitted as standard for Malaysian-spec models. Also included are:

  • Electronic parking brake with auto hold
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS)
  • Blind spot monitoring
  • Reverse camera
  • Cruise control
  • ISOFIX rear mounts

While advanced ADAS features such as AEB and adaptive cruise control are absent, the Bingo focuses on delivering strong fundamentals at an accessible price point.

Warranty coverage includes:

  • 5 years / 150,000 km vehicle warranty
  • 8 years / 120,000 km battery warranty
  • 8 years / 160,000 km drive motor warranty

Colours and Availability

The TQ Wuling Bingo is available in:

  • Milky White with Black Roof
  • Neon Blue with Black Roof
  • Lavender Purple with Black Roof (Max only)

The EV is now officially on sale nationwide, with a special “Bingo Shining Five Rewards” weekend experience happening from 20–21 December 2025 at TQ Wuling showrooms across Peninsular Malaysia.

A New Entry-Level EV Benchmark?

With its competitive pricing, decent WLTP range, CKD status and comprehensive ownership package, the TQ Wuling Bingo EV enters Malaysia’s fast-growing EV segment as one of the most compelling entry-level options yet.

For urban commuters and first-time EV buyers, this cheerful electric hatchback could well be the sweet spot between affordability and everyday usability.
