OMODA | JAECOO Celebrates Talent and Diversity at First-Ever Technical Skills Competition
Kuala Lumpur, 26 August 2025 – OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia has set a new benchmark in after-sales excellence with its inaugural Technical Skills Competition, bringing together 132 of the best technical specialists from 48 dealerships nationwide. The event not only celebrated technical expertise but also highlighted the brand’s dedication to customer care and the continuous development of its workforce.
The competition tested participants through a mix of theory and practical challenges, designed to mirror real-world service scenarios. From diagnosing complex issues to ensuring repair efficiency, the technicians showcased precision, speed, and problem-solving mastery.
After an intense showdown, Wong Sau Seng of Gagner Auto Sdn Bhd emerged as National Champion, earning the honour of representing Malaysia at the OMODA | JAECOO World Skills Competition in China this October. First runner-up was Ng Chen Ton of CarShen Sdn Bhd, while Syasya Mazdiana Binti Nor Azman of Anggerik Auto Sdn Bhd secured second runner-up, breaking barriers as the only female finalist.
Syasya’s achievement was a highlight of the event, reinforcing the message of inclusivity within the automotive industry. “Being the only female finalist shows that women can stand equal in technical fields. Every challenge is a chance to prove ourselves,” she shared.
