2025 BYD Seal Set to Make Waves in Malaysia with Fresh Upgrades

The sleek and sporty BYD Seal is about to make its Malaysian return — and this time, it’s packing more style, comfort, and technology than ever. Recently teased on BYD Malaysia’s Facebook, the updated 2025 Seal is expected to hit our roads soon, bringing the same eye-catching design with some clever enhancements.

Over in Singapore, where the updated model debuted earlier this year, the 2025 Seal features subtle but meaningful changes: a larger 53L frunk for extra storage, new alloy wheel designs, and an electrically operated roof sunshade for that extra touch of convenience. Underneath, the Seal now rides on BYD’s DiSus-C adaptive damping suspension, designed to deliver a smoother and more controlled drive — tech already proven in models like the Denza D9.

For Malaysia, we can expect the familiar three-variant line-up:

  • Dynamic: 136 PS, 310 Nm, 61.44 kWh battery, up to 460 km range (WLTP)
  • Premium: 313 PS, 360 Nm, 82.56 kWh battery, up to 570 km range (WLTP)
  • Performance: Dual-motor AWD, 530 PS, 670 Nm, 82.56 kWh battery, up to 520 km range (WLTP)

Fast-charging capability remains impressive, with 30–80% top-ups in just 32 minutes. Safety is equally well-covered, boasting nine airbags, advanced driver assistance systems, 360-degree cameras, blind spot detection, and much more.

Currently priced from RM163,800 to RM199,800 for the outgoing model, the refreshed Seal is poised to give Malaysian EV buyers even more reason to make the switch. With its mix of performance, range, and premium features, the 2025 BYD Seal might just be the electric sedan to watch this year.
